“I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU” by WHITNEY HOUSTON

Whitney Houston (born August 9th, 1963) was an American singer who was one of the most celebrated vocalists in the history of popular music. She came from a very musical family that included her cousin, Dionne Warwick, and her godmother, Aretha Franklin.

Some of her most popular singles include “Saving All My Love for You”, “How Will I Know”, “The Greatest Love of All”, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”, and the song I chose for today. Considered one of the best-selling artists of all time, she received numerous awards throughout her career (including 6 Grammys and 22 AMAs).

On this very day, February 11th, 2012, Whitney Elizabeth Houston died by drowning due to the use of cocaine. In memory of her passing, exactly 12 years ago today, I have chosen one of the greatest ballads of all-time (which was originally recorded by the legendary, Dolly Parton).
