R.I.P. Kenny Rogers
Kenny Rogers was an American singer, songwriter, and record producer who was born in Houston, Texas on August 21st, 1938. With a career that spanned over several decades, he was particularly known for his smooth voice and storytelling ability.
Some of his most well-known songs include “The Gambler”, “Islands in the Stream”, “Lucille,” “Coward of the County”, and today’s song choice. Throughout his career he won many awards, and in 2013, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
On this very day, March 20th, 2020, Kenneth Ray Rogers died of natural causes (at 81 years of age).
