HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sir Elton John
Sir Elton John is an English singer and pianist whose career has spanned over several decades. He came to prominence (in the early 1970s) and quickly became known for his flamboyant stage presence, distinctive voice, and catchy melodies.
Some of his most famous songs include “Rocket Man”, “Your Song”, “Crocodile Rock”, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”, and “Tiny Dancer” (to name just a few). In 1994, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and in 1998, he was knighted (by Queen Elizabeth II) for his services to the music industry.
On this very day, March 25th 1947, Elton John was born in London, England (as Reginald Kenneth Dwight).
