HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sebastian Bach

Sebastian Bach was a heavy metal singer and songwriter who was best known as former lead vocalist for the band, Skid Row. After joining the group (in 1987), he helped contribute to their most popular singles like “18 & Life”, “Youth Gone Wild”, and today’s song choice.

In 1990, Skid Row won the award for “Favorite Heavy Metal New Artist” at the American Music Awards. However, by 1996, tensions between Bach and the rest of the band led to his departure, and the start of his solo career.

On this very day, April 3rd 1968, Sebastian Philip Bierk (known professionally as Sebastian Bach) was born in Freeport, Bahamas (but was raised in Peterborough, Ontario). In celebration of his birthday, exactly 56 years ago today, I’ve chosen one of my all-time favorite power rock ballads. If you’d like to have a listen, please feel free to use the provided link. Released in November 1989, here’s Skid Row, alongside today’s birthday boy, SEBASTIAN BACH, with “I REMEMBER YOU”….
