“Let It Be” is a peaceful ballad that was written by Paul McCartney and recorded by The Beatles. It was inspired by a dream McCartney had about his late mother, Mary, who passed away when he was just 14. In his dream, she spoke words of comfort to him during a challenging time in the band’s history. In 2004, the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
