R.I.P. JIM MORRISON

Jim Morrison was an American singer and songwriter who was born in Melbourne, Florida on December 8th, 1943. He is best remembered as lead singer for American rock band, The Doors. His distinctive voice, poetic lyrics, and charismatic stage presence helped him become a pop culture phenomenon.

In 1993, Jim Morrison was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of the Doors).

On this very day, July 3rd 1971, James Douglas Morrison was found dead in the bathtub of his apartment in Paris, France. He was just 27 at the time. In memory of his passing, exactly 53 years ago today, I’ve chosen a very cool track that was featured on the Doors’ final album (just before Morrison’s passing).
