HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM MITCHELL
Kim Mitchell is a singer, songwriter, and musician who initially gained fame as lead vocalist for Canadian rock band, Max Webster. Their highest charting single, “Let Go the Line” is an under-rated track that I personally consider as their best ever release.
After Max Webster disbanded (in 1981), Mitchell went on to launch a successful solo career, recording hits like “All We Are”, “Go for Soda”, “Rock and Roll Duty”, and today’s attached song link. Throughout his career, he has won a total of 3 Juno Awards, including “Male Vocalist of the Year” (in 1990).

In celebration of his birthday, exactly 72 years ago today, I’ve chosen a song that truly resonates with Canadian summers. From the album, “Shaking Like a Human Being”, here’s today’s birthday boy, KIM MITCHELL, with “PATIO LANTERNS”….
