R.I.P. CHARLIE RICH

Charlie Rich was an American country singer who was born in Colt, Arkansas on December 14th, 1932. His cross-over appeal helped popularize some of his biggest hits including “Behind Closed Doors” and today’s song choice (that can be listened to by clicking on the provided link).

During his career, he received several Grammy Awards, including “Best Country & Western Album” (for “Behind Closed Doors”) and “Best Male Country Vocal Performance” (for “A Very Special Love Song”).
In 1992, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, recognizing his significant contributions to the genre.

On this very day, July 25th 1995, Charles Allan Rich died in his sleep at 62 years of age.
