R.I.P. CHARLIE WATTS

Charlie Watts was a legendary musician who was born in London, England on June 2nd, 1941. He is best remembered as drummer for the Rolling Stones, which he joined in 1963. His drumming style, characterized by a jazz-influenced precision and minimalistic approach, played a crucial role in shaping the band’s sound.

He contributed to many of the Stones’ most iconic songs, including “Paint It Black”, “Sympathy for the Devil”, “Brown Sugar”, and today’s song choice (that can be listened to by clicking on the provided link).

On this very day, August 24th 2021, Charlie Watts died at a London hospital (with his family surrounding him). He was 80 years old. In memory of his passing, exactly 3 years ago today, I’ve chosen a song that topped the charts in both, Canada and the U.S. From the album, “Some Girls”, here’s the Rolling Stones, featuring the late, CHARLIE WATTS, with “MISS YOU”
