R.I.P. DUANE ALLMAN
Duane Allman was an American rock and blues guitarist who was born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 20th, 1946. Co-founder of the Allman Brothers Band, his exceptional slide guitar playing made him a key contributor to the Southern rock genre.
In 1995, he was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of the Allman Brothers).
On this very day, October 29th 1971, Howard Duane Allman died in a motorcycle crash (at the tender age of 24).
