R.I.P. IRENE CARA

Irene Cara is an American singer and actress who gained fame (in the early 1980s) with her portrayal of Coco Hernandez in the film “Fame”. In 1983, she had a major hit with her single, “Flashdance…What a Feeling” (which won a Grammy Award for “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance”). This song topped the charts in many countries around the world, including Spain, France, Australia, Canada, and the U.S..

On this very day, November 25th 2022, Irene Cara Escalara died at her home in Largo, Florida (at 63 years of age).
