R.I.P. MEAT LOAF

Marvin Lee Aday (better known by his professional name, Meat Loaf) was an American singer and songwriter who was born in Dallas, Texas on September 27th, 1947.

He achieved international fame with the release of his crowning achievement, “Bat Out of Hell”. This album, produced by Jim Steinman, went on to become a trilogy with three separate chapters, released in 1977, 1993, and 2006 respectively.

Meat Loaf’s true genius was displayed on his signature hit, “Paradise by the Dashboard Light”, released in 1977. His theatrical and powerful performances, coupled with the storytelling nature of his music, made him a beloved figure within the classic rock community.

On this very day, January 20th 2022, he passed away in Nashville, Tennessee. Although there was no official cause of death released, some suspect he may have died due to complications from Covid-19. In memory of his passing, I have chosen a ballad that has resonated with fans throughout the years, and can be listened to by clicking on the provided song link. Released in 1978, here’s the late, great MEAT LOAF with “TWO OUTTA THREE AIN’T BAD”….
