Davy Jones was a British singer who was born on December 30th, 1945, in Manchester, England. He initially gained fame (in the 1960s) as lead vocalist of the Monkees. His charming stage presence and distinctive voice made him a standout in the group.

Some of the band’s most popular hits include “I’m a Believer”, “Last Train to Clarksville”, “Pleasant Valley Sunday”, and today’s song choice.

On this very day, February 29th, 2012, David Thomas Jones died of a heart attack (at 66 years of age).
