HAPPY BIRTHDAY Bono (U2)
Bono is an Irish singer and songwriter who is best known as lead vocalist (and primary lyricist) of the rock band, U2. Some of the group’s most popular songs include “With or Without You”, “Where the Streets Have No Name”, “Beautiful Day” and today’s song choice (to name just a few).
With Bono as their lead singer, U2 has received numerous accolades, including 22 Grammy Awards, and an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
On this very day, May 10th 1960, Paul David Hewson (known professionally as Bono) was born in Dublin, Ireland (to Iris and Bob Hewson).
