R.I.P. DAN HARTMAN

Dan Hartman was an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer who was born in West Hanover, Pennsylvania on December 8th, 1950.

An extremely versatile musician, Hartman played multiple instruments, and his work encompassed many different musical styles. As an example, two of his biggest hits were “Instant Replay” (featuring a pure disco sound) and today’s song choice (which showcases a soul and Motown vibe).

On this very day, March 22nd, 1994, Daniel Earl Hartman died of a brain tumor (at 43 years of age). In memory of his passing, I’ve chosen an up-tempo 80s classic that was featured on the “Streets of Fire” soundtrack. If you’d like to have a listen, please feel free to use the provided link. Released in April 1984, here’s the late DAN HARTMAN, with “I CAN DREAM ABOUT YOU”….
