R.I.P. STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN
Stevie Ray Vaughan was an American musician who was born in Dallas, Texas on October 3rd, 1954. Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the revival of blues music, he gained prominence for his soulful guitar playing and powerful stage presence.
Throughout his short career, he received a total of 6 Grammy Awards, and in 2015, he was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
On this very day, August 27th 1990, Stephen Ray Vaughan died in a helicopter crash near East Troy, Wisconsin. He was only 35 at the time of his death.
