“THE ONE YOU LOVE” by GLENN FREY

Glenn Frey was an American singer, songwriter, and founding member of the Eagles, one of the most successful and influential rock bands in music history.

He co-wrote many of the group’s biggest hits like “Hotel California,” “Take It to the Limit,” and “Lyin’ Eyes”, and in 1998, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

After the Eagles disbanded (in 1980), he pursued a successful solo career, releasing hits like “The Heat Is On” and “You Belong to the City” (which was featured in the popular TV series, “Miami Vice”).

On this very day, January 18th 2016, Glen Frey passed away from complications of rheumatoid arthritis. In memory of his passing, exactly 8 years ago today, I have chosen a ballad that never really got the recognition it deserved.
