Lou Rawls was an American singer and songwriter who was primarily known for his smooth and versatile voice. Born on December 1st, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, he enjoyed a long and successful career that spanned multiple decades. Throughout this timespan, he made significant contributions to many genres including Jazz, R&B, and Soul.
