HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ANDY PARTRIDGE!

Andy Partridge is an English musician and songwriter who is best known as lead vocalist (and guitarist) for the alternative rock band, XTC. This group gained prominence in the late 1970s (and early 1980s) with their distinctive sound that blended elements of new wave, post-punk, and psychedelia.

Partridge co-founded the band in 1972, and they went on to release a series of critically acclaimed albums, including “Drums and Wires”, “Black Sea”, “English Settlement”, and “Skylarking”.

On this very day, November 11th 1953, Andy John Partridge was born in Mtarfa, Malta. In celebration of his birthday, I’ve chosen a track that was based on Manfred Mann’s 1964 single, “5,4,3,2,1”. Taken from the album, “English Settlement”, here’s XTC, featuring today’s birthday boy, ANDY PARTRIDGE, with “SENSES WORKING OVERTIME”….
